Dr Adeel Sahal

Dr Adeel Sahal is a well experienced Consultant Respiratory Physician at The Vesey Private Hospital with over 9 years of experience practicing as a consultant in respiratory medicine in both NHS and private settings. Dr Sahal completed his medical degree at the University of Punjab, Pakistan in 2003. He later moved to the UK to complete his specialty registrar training at King’s College Hospital and the West Midlands Deanery. He became registered as a specialist by the General Medical Council in November 2014. 

Dr Sahal is also a valuable member of the Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust, where he serves as the pleural disease and asthma services lead. He also implemented a robust Indwelling Pleural Catheter (IPC) service to improve the quality of life for patients suffering from recurrent malignant effusion, as well as a Multidisciplinary Asthma Clinic and a specialist Multidisciplinary TB clinic.

In his general respiratory clinics, Dr Sahal manages a wide range of acute and chronic respiratory conditions including cough, breathlessness, COPD, bronchiectasis, sarcoidosis, respiratory failure and obstructive sleep apnoea. He performs a wide range of diagnostic pleural procedures in the day case setting, including thoracic ultrasound, pleural aspiration, blind pleural biopsy, and medical thoracoscopy.
