Dr Abigail Zabron

Dr Abigail Zabron is an experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist who provides comprehensive clinical care for patients presenting with digestive, liver, and biliary disorders. She is committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based medical care through a patient-centred approach. Dr Zabron works closely with patients to conduct thorough evaluations, investigate complex gastrointestinal symptoms, and formulate individualised management plans tailored to each person's specific health needs.

Dr Zabron established a strong scientific foundation by earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Bristol University, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy at Emmanuel College, Cambridge. Driven by a commitment to applying scientific understanding directly to patient care, she subsequently qualified in medicine at the Royal Free & University College Medical School. She later completed a dedicated Research Fellowship investigating biliary tract disorders and was awarded the Dame Sheila Sherlock Travelling Fellowship in Hepatology, supporting international clinical research collaboration in liver disease and biomarker development.

Within her clinical practice, Dr Zabron covers a wide range of areas across digestive and liver medicine. Her areas of clinical interest include inflammatory bowel disease, chronic liver diseases such as viral hepatitis and metabolic-associated fatty liver disease, liver cirrhosis, and hepatobiliary conditions including cholangiocarcinoma. She performs diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, colonoscopy, and Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), to support accurate diagnosis and modern medical treatment.
