Dr Abdelmageed Abdelrahman

Dr Abdelmageed Abdelrahman is a highly accomplished Consultant Gynaecologist and Subspecialist in Urogynaecology, dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive care to women. He specialises in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of pelvic floor disorders and gynaecological conditions. His clinical expertise encompasses pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, uterine fibroids, and complex pelvic floor issues. Dr Abdelrahman is committed to delivering patient-centred care, ensuring that each individual receives a tailored treatment plan that addresses their unique needs and improves their quality of life.

With a strong commitment to medical research and clinical education, Dr Abdelrahman has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed medical journals, contributed to textbook chapters, and regularly presents his work at national and international conferences. His clinical interests also extend to psychosexual medicine, vulval pain conditions such as vulvodynia and vestibulodynia, and the management of nausea and vomiting in pregnancy, including hyperemesis gravidarum. Additionally, he is actively involved in the early recognition and referral pathways for endometrial cancer.

Dr Abdelrahman completed his medical training at Queen's University Belfast, qualifying with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB BCh BAO) in 2009. He went on to complete his specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology in Northern Ireland, followed by advanced subspecialty fellowship training in urogynaecology. He holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Clinical Education, a Diploma in Psychosexual Medicine (DIPM), and a Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (DFSRH). Dr Abdelrahman is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) and is an active member of the International Urogynecological Association (IUGA).
