I have been a patient at Self London since the clinic opened and a patient of Dr Mahto’s before that. I have never left a negative review and write this reluctantly. Let me be clear about what this is not. The doctors are well qualified, the clinic itself is a welcoming space and the whole team go out of their way to make you feel comfortable while there. However, my recent experience with the clinic’s policies regarding aftercare for treatments they have delivered has left me genuinely unsettled. I have lived with recurrent acne on and off for more than a decade. Over the years I have tried several treatments including two courses of Roaccutane with other consultant dermatologists. While under Dr Mahto’s care in the last four years, I have cycled through topical treatments, antibiotics, an additional course of Roaccutane and, more recently, AviClear, alongside several lasers for scarring including ClearSilk, ProFrac and UltraClear. AviClear was initially presented to me as a new, innovative treatment delivered over just three sessions and designed to treat acne at the source, providing long-term improvement. Although expensive at £4,500, the results on paper seemed promising. While I did see some benefit initially, my acne returned within 12 months and a fourth top-up session costing an additional £1,500 was proposed. Wanting to give it every chance to work, I proceeded, but three months later my skin was, if anything, worse. Self London is one of the best — if not the best — clinics in London and the UK. I’ve been to quite a few clinics over the years, including in Singapore and Dubai, and the experience at Self London really stands out. I had an incredibly informative and detailed consultation with Dr Anjali Mahto (who wrote the fabulous Skincare Bible – check it out if you haven’t already). She took the time to properly assess my concerns, explain the diagnosis clearly, and walk me through the different treatment options in a way that felt considered, and reassuring. I decided to go ahead with Sofwave, and the booking process was easy and seamless, with all the pre-treatment information provided clearly in advance. On the day of the treatment, I was looked after by the amazing Claudia, who carried out the Sofwave treatment. She was super friendly, professional, and made me feel completely at ease throughout the entire process. Overall, I have rarely come across a clinic that combines this level of expertise with such genuine care and attention to the patient experience. From start to finish, it was excellent. The clinic itself is also beautiful, pristine, and incredibly well run. I highly recommend Self London and will definitely be coming back for future treatments.

I went to have softwave treatment at self london . It was my first time having the treatment and visiting the clinic . I was extremely impressed with Katie , she is so knowledgeable and explained the whole procedure and carried out the treatment seamlessly. Being a medic I can honestly say that I am so impressed with her clinical knowledge and the clinic is beautiful and I am looking forward to going back for the 2nd course in 8 weeks . She listened to my needs & understood exactly what I was hoping to achieve with my first Botox treatment. I’ve been so impressed by my results I’ve booked further appointments with her. I’m a 62 year old woman and I had a consultation with Dr Charlotte Keigwin This was then followed by Profhilo Structure treatment I had 2 sessions with a 4 week interval . Dr Keigwin was very calm kind and professional . The procedure was slightly uncomfortable but I was warned about this and it was not too much . I must say after the first session I did not see much difference ,but as advised this was more noticeable after the second treatment and has continued to improve . Friends whom I had not seen for a few months commented on how well I looked !!!I would have no hesitation in recommending Dr Keigwin at Self London

I had two treatments with Dr Charlotte Keigwin recently. I must say I am so pleased with my results more so than I have had with any other aesthetician. Usually there is a slight pain and I’m not great with needles but Dr Keigwin was very gentle with the best results. Will definitely be returning.

The aftercare was outstanding — the team checked in with me every day for the first five days to make sure my skin was healing well, and I returned a few weeks later for a follow-up to review my progress. I was also recommended a simple post-treatment skincare routine that I’ve continued using because it works so well for my skin. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Self London to friends and family. Such a lovely team with real expertise, and the results have been fantastic.

Really professional in all their communication and found it very easy to book appointments, see my treatment letters etc. Their is a nice little reception area whilst you're waiting. Felt comfortable while I was waiting for treatment.
