The overall experience was excellent and would highly recommend Newmedica Grimsby to others requiring cataract surgery.

first time ever for eye surgery and scared stiff. But the nurses put me at ease and the consultant chatted and explained what he was going to do, actually changed the original lens after testing my eyes again and made another suggestion. Very knowlagble professionals. During the procedure I lay on a theatre table, had my eyes covered with something and the surgeon cut a hole out where my eye to be operated was. I felt no pain, no sensations, just saw three lights and followed them. My biggest fear was what if i was to blink during the operation and he slipped? But nothing like that. No urge to blink, no feeling, no sensation just lights and listening to the nurses chatter away in a normal fashion which stopped me feeling scared.

My experience before during and after my cataract surgery was polite.friendly and professional. I was able to ask questions at all points of the process. every member of the team knows their job and does it.

All the staff were fantastic, super friendly and explained all about the procedure that was going to take place. Any questions I had were answered very well.

Except for a problem at the Brigg clinic everything was great.All the staff from reception to the top man was very polite and welcoming, which puts you at ease, knowing you are in the hands of professionals.

I cannot thank Mr Stewart and all the staff at Newmedica enough. Every member of staff I met during my my treatment at Newmedica, from initial assessment to second cataract surgery were all very professional, caring, helpful and friendly. I would unreservedly recommend Newmedica without hesitation.

The professional attention shown to me during my surgery was without doubt subperb, and made me feel completely at ease with the situation. All I can say very well done.

I’m now enjoying seeing better than I have for a long time, due to having had surgery on both eyes. The removal of cataracts has been done very professionally and without painful stress. Certain areas need to be adhered to regularly using eye drops and care to stop any possible exposure to infection or rubbing. Otherwise fine.

I came to gri.msby on Tues 8.30am for a 2nd cataract removing everything well a bit of discomfort but nothing serious Until I woke wed . morning couldn't stand bright lights and alot of pain at the back of my eye.i went into hot sweat n nearly fainted.y husband got me sat down then we decided to ring the emergency number I was told I was 1st in the queue waited 45mins no reply I rang Brigg the answer phone said staff training day leave. Message and we'll get back to U in the next 24hrs what a load of rubbish I was going to go to A.&E but thought better of it I was very disappointed that nobody rang me back even Kay on reception said she would call this morning Waited n waited no. Call Fortunately I went to bed had good sleep woke at 2.30pm eye back to normal. But. This could have been a different story there was nobody I could get hold off regards Pauline
