Newmedica Grimsby

I’m now enjoying seeing better than I have for a long time, due to having had surgery on both eyes. The removal of cataracts has been done very professionally and without painful stress. Certain areas need to be adhered to regularly using eye drops and care to stop any possible exposure to infection or rubbing. Otherwise fine.

I came to gri.msby on Tues 8.30am for a 2nd cataract removing everything well a bit of discomfort but nothing serious Until I woke wed . morning couldn't stand bright lights and alot of pain at the back of my eye.i went into hot sweat n nearly fainted.y husband got me sat down then we decided to ring the emergency number I was told I was 1st in the queue waited 45mins no reply I rang Brigg the answer phone said staff training day leave. Message and we'll get back to U in the next 24hrs what a load of rubbish I was going to go to A.&E but thought better of it I was very disappointed that nobody rang me back even Kay on reception said she would call this morning Waited n waited no. Call Fortunately I went to bed had good sleep woke at 2.30pm eye back to normal. But. This could have been a different story there was nobody I could get hold off regards Pauline

Nice clean environment, staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. Staff were very supportive throughput the whole process.

The staff at Newmedica Grimsby were very friendly and caring and looked after me very well. I had a follow up call the morning after my procedure to see how I was which was much appreciated. Most happy to recommend Newmedica.

Mum was almost blind wearing really thick glasses, and couldn't see at all without them. She had a few complications with her eyes but Dr Stewart and team endeavoured to give her as much sight back as possible, even if just slight. After her cataracts surgery on the 'good' eye, she is like a new woman. At nearly 78yrs old, mum doesn't need to wear her glasses for the first time since she was young. She can see clearer and further away. Close up is still difficult but we trust that after both eyes are done, and potentially glasses again with alot less prescription, she will be able to see so much better. She's had no pain or anything. The drs were brilliant and we can't thank them enough. This is the best thing to have happened to mum who was petrified to get her eyes done. She says he is the best Dr I have ever seen and I'm so happy.

Cataract surgery undertaken on right eye. From the initial consultation, throughout the operation and aftercare ALL staff, specialist and surgeons conducted their duties excellently.
