After a nightmare at Moorfields with my first cataract surgery, which took ages to rectify (and not by them), it was such a relief to have my second cataract surgery under Mr. Shalchi's go so smoothly and expertly. The Princess Margaret hospital is so much nicer and more efficient than Moorfields too.

Mr Ayoub explained the whole process and subsequent outcome very thoroughly and answered any questions and concerns in detail. The surgery was on both eyes and the treatment was painless and took little time. All in all I felt I was in good hands all through the consultations and surgery and am very happy with the outcome. I had virtually lost the vision in one eye, and had impaired vision in the other, was unable to drive, to read and latterly to use a computer or see the television. Prior to these problems I had worn rigid contact lenses for 48 years. Following replacement lens treatment with EDOF lenses I am now able to see better than since my teenage years - I do not need glasses at all, thanks to Mr Deshmukh.
