Mr Kumar has given me exemplary care. He is an extremely impressive surgeon but also really listens, takes time to settle your concerns and is clearly an excellent colleague. It was nice to see that he knew all his nurses first names and was careful to use our names. I trusted him instantly and am very glad to have been cared for by him.

Excellent! He was punctual, very professional whilst explaining all details of my problem and the solution required. After surgery he was able to explain all that he had done and left me feeling that I was in the care of an excellent surgeon with a huge breadth of knowledge and surgical expertise. Would heartily recommend him to anyone needing his surgical expertise.

I found Mr Marshall to be exceptional. His relaxed and informative manner immediately put me at ease and his sense of humour helped. Answered any question I had and fully informed me of the procedure, including the pre-assessment, and of course the inherent risks of surgery.

From the Moment I met Prof Patel at our first consultation, I knew I was in excellent hands. He explained the surgery that I required (whipple) in great detail and answered the questions that myself and my Wife had with great care and compassion and really made me feel a lot happier and comfortable as to what I should expect over the coming months. Mr Monk was my consultant and surgeon in repairing a hernia and I would highly recommend David! I was unsure of what surgery type to go with (open or keyhole) and he talked me through the respective advantages and risks of the different approaches. He was very patient in answering my questions and noting my specific concerns regarding lifestyle impacts and recovery time. He kindly responded to some additional questions I had after the initial consultation while I was still making my decision. In the end I chose to go with the keyhole approach with David as my surgeon, and I'm very happy I did. On surgery day he came to see me to explain what was going to happen, was with me during the anasthetic, and came to talk with me and my partner after the operation once I was awake to make sure I was OK and had all the right info to recover afterwards. David called me the next day to check in, and in the post op consultation provided information about the next stages in the recovery process. David's calm, professional and warm manner put me at ease throughout the process. You feel he genuinely cares about your issue, treats you with dignity and respect, as well as being friendly and very human. He is also an expert in the field with attention to detail and high quality, as reflected in my successful operation and recovery progress.
