During his career, he has innovated the use of keyhole surgery and endoscopic ERCP skills in cases of complicated gall bladder and bile duct stones in patients with jaundice, cholangitis and pancreatitis.
Mr Kerwat is an engaged teacher, training junior doctors in general and laparoscopic surgery techniques during their Foundation Training Programmes and Specialty Higher Surgical Training Programmes. He also works as a trainer for The Royal College of Surgeons Laparoscopic. He continues to actively engage with his field staying up-to-date on developments to ensure his care is evidence led.
