I had my gall bladder and gall stones removed under general anaesthetic. Mr Dmitrewski is a fantastic consultant. He explained everything very well and calmed my nerves before the op. Th operation went very well and I was home the same evening. There were no concerns post op and I was soon back to normal activities.

Suspected BCC. Was told there was something there, examined further, sat and wrote notes before then assuring me it wasn’t a BCC - felt this should have been communicated as soon excluded. Offered 3 options - all which left scars - none of which involved leaving it. Was told I just needed to make a decision and felt pressured to make a decision there and then even though I still don’t quite understand the point of treating it if it’s superficial. Was then told that unless treated they couldn’t be 100% sure.

From consultation to surgery and follow-up, Mr Griffiths was absolutely excellent throughout. The procedure was explained in full, the surgery was very successful with minimal recovery time and the service (and the hospital) provided was First Class A* level.
