Mr Jan Dmitrewski

After reviewing surgeons dealing with hernia repairs at our local Nuffield Hospital we selected Mr J Dmitrewski and made an appointment. During my consultation Mr Dmitrewski confirmed I had an inguinal hernia which could be repaired. He explained in detail what the procedure involved and also the after care that would be provided. We were confident with the diagnosis and decided to go ahead. The surgery and recovery went well without any problems. Now 5weeks after the operation I have been discharged and no more pain. We would highly recommend Mr Dmitrewski who was always very approachable and professional at all times.

Mr Dmitrewski recently performed a repair of an inguinal hernia which I had had for some years. My experience was excellent and the surgery was successful, with no complications. This is a competent, professional surgeon with a thoroughly pleasant and reassuring manner. I appreciated his cautious, thorough approach and the fact that he took the time to explain everything in a way that a layperson could easily understand. My only regret is that I waited so long before deciding to undergo the surgery - I did not realise that I was going to be in such good hands. I should also add that his administrative set up is very good. His secretary is responsive, efficient and equally pleasant to deal with.

Everything was clearly explained to me prior to the operation and the operation was a success . My recovery has been very much in line with my expectations and I can now get on with my life.

After my recent operation, unfortunately my wound opened slightly, but Mr Dmitrewski acted swiftly to remedy the situation and together with the nurses, who I might say were more than excellent, treated the wound back to a healthy situation.

No sense of rushing and spent a lot of time to explain in detail any questions I had before and after the operation. Very pleased with the care taken and outcome of the procedure.

I have received top care. Mr Dmitrewski has been very accessible throughout my procedure and recovery. I had to attend extra appointments during recovery and he made sure he was available for each one.
