Together with my wife and son, he took the time needed to carefully explain his assessment of my case and the forward treatment alternatives. We elected that I should undergo a complex surgery with a lengthy recovery time after he laid out the alternatives, the relative risks and his forward recommendation. Was given a catheter after the Operation and to go home with it and contact my GP or my Urologist (I haven’t got one). Ended up with the Catheter in for 9 days causing a lot of discomfort and stress

What was impressive in the consultation was the time and care in simple language taking me through the "problem" and the solution, and the potential (even if minimal) risks; and in checking that I really did understand what would be involved in the procedure. I therefore left confident in proceeding; and his follow up letter for my GP and insurers set out in detail the full extent of our discussion.

Dr Kumar is an excellent surgeon. He explains complex details of the treatment in a simple and understandable manner. He is patient and answers all questions clearly. He discusses the potential risks and mitigation before surgery and ensures one is at ease before the surgery. His post operative care is excellent and I felt reassured that I was in a very safe pair of hands.
