It was a very scary time for me and my husband but from the moment we met Dr Vaqas we felt reassured. He always explained everything so clearly and calmly and never made us feel rushed, answering all our many questions! We had every faith in him and knew we were in good hands! We would like to thank him for all he has done.

Mr Sayal is an excellent communicator and takes the time and trouble not only to explain the medical condition clearly but to set out options and likely outcomes to enable the patient to make an informed decision. He is both professional and caring.

After a warning from the neurosurgeon & oncologist who had been monitoring the regrowth of my meningioma in September 2023 that it required surgery & as it was a second operation it was at high risk of stroke, bleeding, bone infection, going through old scar tissue, the tumour was pressing against a large vein. My daughter suggested I sought a second opinion, we chose Mr Shoakazemi who also specialises in my type of brain tumour.  He confirmed…the risks were very high indeed, the brain tumour had grown too big for fractionated radiotherapy and surgery through the old wound of some 20 + years ago was the only option. We found Mr Shoakazemi to be extremely approachable, professional, calm, warm & informative.  I feel incredibly lucky to have had the faith on a date said to be the unluckiest day in the yearly calendar …Friday 13th October to undergo surgery with such a gifted neurosurgeon. I am (thankfully to Mr Shoakazemi) walking straight, talking straight & feeling fully blessed.

Dr Kushan is an incredible Consultant, who continues to go above and beyond in my care. My condition was extremely rare and where other consultants shied away, Doctor Kushan boldly took my case on and assured me and my young family that he would do his upmost to ensure everything would be ok and he has remained true to his word! After four months in Charing Cross Hospital, he worked tirelessly to find the right surgeon to operate on me, even facing set backs, he continued to fight my corner, resulting in great success! Dr Kushan is the most professional, diligent, caring and compassionate Doctor. He not only see's the medical condition, but also the person and family unit behind it. He has worked tirelessly to find the right professionals to support me with my care, amends my medications with the aim of getting me off all medication and living a happy and healthy life with my family. Dr Kushan never makes me feel rushed when I see him. He takes a holistic approach to my care and makes me feel like I am his priority, even when I know he has hundreds of other patients - who I am sure he makes feel the same! Put simply, I would not be back home with my family, working and enjoying life if it wasn't for Dr Kushan. If Dr Kushan is your Consultant, then you are in excellent hands!

I am so happy that our paths crossed with Mr. Foroughi at the time when I was diagnosed with a condition. He has been the calming force that I needed, he answered all my questions, explained everything in detail, always checked on me to make sure everything was going to plan. I would recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone who is looking for a neurosurgeon, he is experienced, knowledgable and very approachable in times of need.

He was warm, informative, supportive and caring. I have great confidence in him. He and Vas gave my family and I so much information and offered 24 hr contact to them should we have any concerns. Delightful men, both of them.

Mr Haden was a considerate consultant who took the time to listen to my concerns and did a lot to calm me down - it was my very first operation and I was very nervous but he explained everything to me and made sure I understood everything. I really felt he went the extra mile with my after care.
