London-based consultant neurosurgeon, Mr Nicholas Thomas, provides care for patients with brain and spinal disorders. He has a wide range of clinical skills, and his interests include endoscopic pituitary and skull base surgery, anterior and lateral skull base surgery, and complex spine surgery. He also leads a nationwide multidisciplinary clinic that specialises in neurofibromatosis and Von Hippel-Lindau disease.
Mr Thomas gained his medical degree in 1988 and undertook general surgical training before specialising in neurosurgery and becoming a consultant.
In addition to his work in the UK, Mr Thomas also carries out volunteer work overseas; he has taught and operated alongside local neurosurgeons at the National Hospital and Sri Jayawardenapura Hospital in Colombo, Sri Lanka, over the last 15 years. He is also a key member of international endoscopic pituitary surgery training workshops.

Mr Thomas was a great consultant. He really reassured me and the surgery was no issue for him at all, in fact it took a lot less time than I expected and the results have been amazing. I would recommend him to anyone that needs spinal surgery, and will use him again in the future for any other further surgeries I need.
