Mr Nicholas Thomas is reassuring and clear with all patients, taking time to listen. He is an expert neurosurgeon, giving advice and doing difficult operations such as micro discectomy, brain surgery, and spine repair. Patients find his professional manner helpful, making hard times easier. His help is sought for both spinal and brain problems.
I’ve visited Mr Thomas a few times now and always been given very clear advice. Very personable and efficient, making me feel I’m in excellent hands. Strongly recommend.
Mr Thomas is an angel to deal with. So kind and explains everything.
Mr Thomas is the kindest angel. calm and no ego! he is my favourite surgeon.
I was due to travel to London to see Mr. Thomas on the hottest day ever in the UK. After a brief phone call to his secretary on the morning of the appointment he was so helpful in agreeing to a phone consultation to save me travelling from the south coast. I couldn't fault Mr. Thomas in any way, he described my situation precisely so that I understood my situation. Friendly and very professional, first class thank you.
Mr Thomas explained the MRI scan and x ray very succinctly so I understood the fundamentals of my condition. I explained my symptoms and various areas of pain particularly in the leg which he addressed in detail and also went through the conclusions the hospital had made. These he could dismiss from the evidence on the MRI scan. He gave me advice on what to do and not do over the next few weeks and arranged a follow up appointment the day after I saw him. He also gave me advice on my medication and and how to lower the dosages,
I saw Nick as a patient but have known him as a colleague for many years. He was highly professional, kind and conscientious in all aspect's of my care, as he always has been with absolutely all his patients. He is thorough and considerate and his treatment plan was conservative and sensible. I highly recommend Mr Thomas.
Had a telephone consultation with Mr Thomas. I was very pleased to be able to discuss my results via a telephone conversation rather than going to the clinic as it is a long distance for me and more convenient for a telephone call. Mr Thomas was able to explain in full detail my results of scan and explain everything to me.
What always stands out about Mr Thomas for me is his ability to pair clinical excellence with a genuinely patient-centered approach. He makes complex issues understandable, communicates with clarity, and approaches every conversation with a level of authenticity that's reassuring and human. He is generous with time, thoughtful in his explanations, and I always feel heard. My most recent visit reinforced how fortunate I am to be under the care of Mr Thomas.
I had my first post op follow up, 5 weeks after my operation. It was incredibly reassuring to see Mr Thomas and for me to hear his comments and thoughts on my recovery progress. I find him incredibly friendly and obviously knowledgeable but no question seems stupid or too many!
