Syed has a huge knowledge of the spine and its workings. He is technologically advanced and breezes through scans etc during consultation very clearly explaining one's situation. There was no rush as is often the case, and he gave a very clear concise explanation to my proposed route forwards. I have had two historic back operations and over10 different musculoskeletal surgical procedures in my life. Mr Aftab will be my go to back specialist from now on. I had an extremely positive experience with Mr Sadek and his practice from start to end. I visited him for severe lower back pain, I was seen after one day and within one week I had an MRI scan done, reviewed, and a diagnosis. I appreciated the empathy and the thorough explanations which reassured me as a patient, generated understanding of my next steps, set my recovery expectations, and clarified what I have to do to get there. I came to Dr Bownes for a second opinion on two MRIs of my knee. He did not provide a clear response to whether my ACL was damaged despite repeatedly asking him, and he did not seem worried my knee pain was left undiagnosed. I did not feel my concerns were heard during or after the meeting, or that he looked at the MRIs carefully, and he seemed to have made up his mind before looking at them. Dr. Bownes did not seem very interested in my case.
