Dr. William Yan is a highly qualified Consultant Ophthalmologist specialising in medical retina, vitreoretinal surgery, and complex cataract surgery. Dr. Yan completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours at Monash University. He then pursued postgraduate research, earning a Master of Philosophy in Ophthalmology from the University of Melbourne. Demonstrating academic excellence, he was awarded a prestigious Fulbright Scholarship to undertake further studies in bioinformatics, completing a Master of Science at Stanford University. Dr. Yan completed his specialist training at a leading tertiary eye hospital in Melbourne, followed by advanced subspecialty fellowships in medical retina and vitreoretinal surgery both in Australia and the United Kingdom. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (FRANZCO).
