Dr. Nathan Kerr

Dr. Nathan Kerr is a highly skilled Specialist Ophthalmologist renowned for his expertise in cataract and glaucoma surgery, as well as the management of various ophthalmic conditions. 

After completing a two-year glaucoma and optic nerve fellowship, Dr. Kerr was awarded a Doctorate of Medicine before undertaking ophthalmology specialty training. He became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (FRANZCO) and furthered his expertise with an additional two years of glaucoma subspecialty training. During this time, he trained at prestigious institutions such as the Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital in Melbourne and Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, where he studied minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) under the guidance of renowned surgeon Mr. Keith Barton.

As the first fellowship-trained minimally invasive glaucoma surgeon in Australia, Dr. Kerr employs cutting-edge micro-incision surgery techniques and innovative microscopic glaucoma implants to reduce or eliminate the need for glaucoma eye drops. He is actively involved in teaching MIGS surgery internationally, having been invited to share his expertise in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and France. Dr. Kerr also co-edits MIGS.org, contributing to the advancement of surgical knowledge in this field.

Dr. Kerr's approach to cataract surgery is equally advanced, utilising modern techniques to ensure a comfortable and rapid recovery for patients.
