Dr Tom Zhou

Dr Tom Zhou is a highly qualified Gastroenterologist, Hepatologist, and Endoscopist who is dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to his patients. With a clinical focus on digestive health, he offers expert assessment and management for a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver conditions. Dr Zhou is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, ensuring that individuals receive clear explanations and personalised treatment plans tailored to their unique health needs.

Dr Zhou completed his Bachelor of Pharmacy before pursuing his medical studies, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Queensland in 2003. He completed his specialist Physician training in 2008 and subsequently undertook advanced training in Gastroenterology. He was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2011. Following this, he completed a dedicated hepatology fellowship, gaining extensive experience in complex liver diseases and transplant hepatology.

Throughout his career, Dr Zhou has developed a strong interest in liver diseases, conducting clinical research in viral hepatitis and presenting his findings at national and international conferences. His clinical expertise spans general gastroenterology, inflammatory bowel disease, and functional bowel syndromes. He is highly skilled in performing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopy, upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, and bowel cancer screening, helping patients achieve optimal digestive wellness.
