Dr Hadi Moattar

Dr Hadi Moattar is a clinical Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist. Dr Moattar completed their Medical Degree with distinction. They have worked in various hospitals. In 2016, they completed their Gastroenterology & Hepatology Fellowship after training at the Mater Adult Hospital, The Prince Charles Hospital, Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital and Townsville Hospital.

Dr Moattar worked as an Inflammatory Bowel Disease Fellow at the Fiona Stanley Hospital in Perth, Western Australia. This helped to expand their experience and skill in the management of complex patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease. They use their clinical and interpersonal skills to optimise patients' care and quality of life in close collaboration with IBD nurses, dieticians, colorectal surgeons, clinical psychologists and radiologists.

Dr Moattar enjoys teaching students and junior doctors at the bedside in small tutorials and lecturing in grand rounds and departmental meetings. They actively participate in quality assurance projects and audits during their career and publish or present the results of these projects in national and international meetings and peer-reviewed journals. They also keep themselves up to date with the latest developments in the field. They personally monitor all IBD patients who have been started recently on immunosuppressant to ensure maximum safety and efficacy of these medications.
