Dr Thea Bowler

Dr Thea Bowler is a highly regarded Obstetrician, Gynaecologist, and Fertility Specialist who provides compassionate, patient-centred care to women at all stages of life. Based in Spring Hill, Brisbane, she is known for her gentle, nurturing, and holistic approach, supporting patients from adolescence through to their post-menopausal years. Dr Bowler is dedicated to working collaboratively with her patients, helping them understand their bodies and creating individualised treatment plans that address their unique health and reproductive goals.

Dr Bowler completed her Bachelor of Science and went on to earn her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Queensland, graduating in 2007. She undertook her specialist training across Queensland and New South Wales, subsequently becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. To further her surgical expertise, she completed an Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy & Surgery fellowship in laparoscopic surgery, alongside completing specialised coursework in pain management. She is also an active contributor to medical research and education, having written chapters for a seminal Australian textbook in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and serves as a Committee Member of the Queensland Persistent Pelvic Pain Network.

With advanced training in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, Dr Bowler specialises in the surgical management of endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts, and hysterectomies. She has a particular clinical interest in complex pelvic pain, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, and adolescent gynaecology. For patients hoping to conceive, she provides comprehensive fertility care, ranging from preconception advice and holistic fertility optimisation to ovulation induction and assisted reproduction.
