About

Dr. Gabriel James is a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with a wide range of clinical interests, including all-risk obstetrics, early pregnancy, reproductive endocrinology, laparoscopic and fertility-restoring surgery. He is passionate about providing a safe and secure environment for mothers during childbirth and offering holistic healthcare to his patients.

Dr. James initially worked in biotechnology and pharmaceutical development as a scientist before pursuing a career in medicine. He completed his medical training at the University of Sydney in 2010. His journey into obstetrics and gynaecology began with a senior resident role at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in 2012. He furthered his education by obtaining a diploma in obstetrics and gynaecology in Sydney's Northern Beaches in 2013. Later, he moved to Queensland for specialist training, where he worked in some of Australia's busiest tertiary maternity hospitals, including the Gold Coast University Hospital and the Mater Mothers' Hospital.

Throughout his career, Dr. James has cared for a diverse range of patients, from those with high-risk pregnancies to those seeking low-intervention experiences for low-risk pregnancies. He is currently undertaking research focusing on fertility treatments for natural conception and optimising pregnancy health. His research aims to help couples facing challenges such as endometriosis, irregular menstrual cycles, unexplained infertility, and those requiring advanced surgical techniques to enhance their fertility potential.

Dr. James has a commitment to humanitarian work and has volunteered his medical and construction skills during seven summers in various countries, including Fiji, the Philippines, Tonga, Vietnam, Papua New Guinea, and remote Australian Indigenous communities.
