Dr Sern Wei Yeoh

Dr Sern Wei Yeoh is a highly qualified Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist dedicated to providing comprehensive, evidence-based care for patients experiencing a wide range of digestive and liver conditions. With a clinical approach focused on clear communication and patient-centred outcomes, Dr Yeoh manages both acute and chronic gastrointestinal disorders. His clinical practice encompasses all aspects of gastroenterology, with a particular focus on liver health, bowel disorders, and advanced diagnostic procedures.

Dr Yeoh completed his medical training at the University of Melbourne, graduating on a full academic scholarship. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, a Bachelor of Medical Science, and a postgraduate Masters of Public Health, achieving all of his academic degrees with honours. To further his expertise, he completed a combined research and clinical hepatology fellowship in Melbourne, followed by a prestigious, competitive fellowship in advanced hepatology at a major teaching hospital in the United Kingdom, where he managed critically ill patients requiring complex care, including liver transplantation. Dr Yeoh is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Yeoh is actively involved in medical research and education. He has presented his research at international conferences and has both authored and reviewed publications in clinical textbooks and peer-reviewed medical journals. His broad clinical interests include the management of liver fibrosis, cirrhosis, viral hepatitis, and inflammatory bowel disease, as well as common gastrointestinal symptoms such as abdominal pain, constipation, and diarrhoea. He is also highly skilled in performing essential diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including gastroscopy and colonoscopy, ensuring his patients receive precise and reassuring care.
