Dr Ming-Lee Lin

Dr Ming-Lee Lin is a highly qualified Specialist Ophthalmologist who specialises in comprehensive eye care with a focus on medical retina and inflammatory eye diseases. Dedicated to delivering patient-centred care, Dr Lin is passionate about helping her patients make well-informed decisions regarding their eye health and treatment options. Her clinical expertise encompasses a wide range of conditions, including cataract surgery, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and uveitis.

Dr Lin graduated with Honours from Monash University, where she was awarded the prestigious Sir John Monash Scholarship for academic excellence. Driven by a strong interest in clinical research, she completed a PhD focusing on the immune system, supported by a National Health and Medical Research Council Scholarship. She undertook her specialist training in Ophthalmology at a premier eye and ear hospital in Victoria, followed by a dedicated fellowship as a Cataract Fellow. To further refine her expertise, Dr Lin completed advanced fellowship training in Medical Retina and Uveitis at a world-renowned ophthalmic hospital in London.

Upon returning to Melbourne, Dr Lin was appointed as a Consultant at major public hospitals, working within specialised medical retina and uveitis services. In addition to her clinical practice, she is deeply committed to public healthcare and the education of future medical professionals. She has served as a Director of Clinical Training, focusing on teaching and supervising Ophthalmologists in training. Dr Lin is an active member of several professional organisations, including the Australia and New Zealand Society of Retinal Specialists and the American Academy of Ophthalmology, ensuring she remains at the forefront of advancements in her field.
