Dr Martin Tan

Dr Martin Tan is a highly qualified Consultant Gastroenterologist and Nuclear Medicine Physician who provides comprehensive care for patients experiencing digestive health issues. Dual-trained in both gastroenterology and nuclear medicine, he offers a unique clinical perspective that combines advanced diagnostic imaging with specialised therapeutic care. Dr Tan is dedicated to delivering patient-centred, evidence-based treatment plans that focus on improving his patients' overall quality of life and digestive well-being.

Dr Tan graduated with Honours from the University of Adelaide, obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1997. He subsequently undertook extensive physician training, completing specialist qualifications in both Gastroenterology and Nuclear Medicine. In 2004, he was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. He is also a Fellow of the Australasian Association of Nuclear Medicine Specialists and holds professional memberships with the Australian and New Zealand Association of Physicians in Nuclear Medicine, as well as the Australian and New Zealand Society of Nuclear Medicine.

With a broad range of clinical interests, Dr Tan focuses on general gastroenterology and the integration of nuclear medicine, including positron emission tomography imaging, to diagnose and manage complex conditions. His dual expertise allows him to collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate diagnoses and tailored management strategies.
