Dr. Mark Cornwell

Dr. Mark Cornwell is a compassionate and highly skilled Gastroenterologist dedicated to providing comprehensive care for patients experiencing a wide range of digestive and liver conditions. With a patient-centred approach, he focuses on delivering high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic services to help individuals manage and improve their gastrointestinal health. His clinical practice encompasses general gastroenterology, with a particular focus on inflammatory bowel disease and liver disorders.

Dr. Cornwell completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Queensland in 1984. He then undertook extensive postgraduate Physician training and completed his Specialist training in Gastroenterology. He was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 1994. Committed to maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice, he has also completed colonoscopy recertification and advanced training courses to refine his endoscopic skills.

As an active member of the medical community, Dr. Cornwell holds professional memberships with several prestigious organisations, including the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, the Gastroenterological Society of Australia, the European Association for the Study of the Liver, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He regularly participates in national and international scientific meetings to stay at the forefront of medical advancements. Additionally, he is passionate about medical education, having contributed to training Medical Students and Junior Doctors, and volunteering as an Endoscopy Trainer internationally.
