About Dr Nadia Maqboul
Dr. Nadia Maqboul is a highly experienced Gastroenterologist and Interventional Endoscopist with advanced expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal and pancreaticobiliary disorders. She graduated from the Royal Free and University College Medical School before commencing her medical training in the Liver Transplant Unit at the Royal Free Hospital. She later relocated to Australia to complete her specialist training in gastroenterology, where her outstanding clinical research was recognised with the prestigious inaugural Neville Yeomans Prize.
Following specialist qualification, Dr Maqboul completed a two-year Advanced Fellowship in Interventional Endoscopy at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, before serving as a Staff Specialist. Alongside providing comprehensive general gastroenterology care, she has developed particular expertise in advanced therapeutic endoscopy, offering minimally invasive procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of complex gastrointestinal conditions.
Dr Maqboul performs a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and bowel cancer screening through the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program. Her specialist interests include complex colonic polypectomy, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), and Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), enabling her to manage complex disorders of the oesophagus, stomach, bowel, liver, pancreas, and biliary system using the latest evidence-based techniques.

Fast and easy only in there for the afternoon, Very helpful and good at explaining
Nadia was terrific to deal with. Was very reassuring prior to the procedure & was clear with outcomes and actions required at the consult post procedure.
Dr Maqboul explained the procedure and what to expect. Wonder bedside manner and put me at ease. Followed up with the results and was direct about any concerns and when I should follow up next. Highly recommend Dr Maqboul.

Nadia was kind and clear in her communication, and efficient. I would suggest the prep booklet could be redesigned to be more clear - I am a dietitian by background and had to read the instructions multiple times to make sure I had it correct. Maybe have it reviewed for readability - dot points would be better :)
