Dr Laura Wheller

Dr Laura Wheller is a highly qualified and dedicated Consultant Dermatologist who provides comprehensive care for both adult and paediatric patients. Based in Ascot, she is committed to delivering personalised, evidence-based dermatological care to address a wide range of skin concerns. Her clinical approach is characterised by a reassuring and patient-centred focus, ensuring that individuals of all ages receive the highest standard of medical attention for their skin health.

With a broad scope of practice in medical dermatology, Dr Wheller has developed particular expertise in the detection and management of skin cancers, as well as the treatment of complex skin rashes and acne. She also holds a strong clinical interest in paediatric dermatology, female genital skin disorders, and the management of hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). Whether managing chronic inflammatory skin conditions or performing precise skin cancer surveillance, she focuses on achieving optimal outcomes for her patients.

Dr Wheller completed her medical training at the University of Queensland, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2007, having previously completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc). Committed to advancing her clinical knowledge, she later obtained a post-graduate Master of Epidemiology (MEpi) while engaged in dermatology research. She became a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists (FACD) in 2016. In addition to her private practice, she serves as a Consultant Dermatologist at a major paediatric hospital and contributes to the education of future medical professionals as a Senior Lecturer.
