1. Book Online: Appointments with specialist Dermatologists can be scheduled in less than two weeks, eliminating long waiting times.
2. Send Information: Patients complete a straightforward online questionnaire and securely upload relevant photos to provide the Dermatologist with comprehensive information before the virtual consultation.
3. Virtual Consultation: Through a video call, patients connect with their Dermatologist, receiving the same quality care as an in-person consultation. This personalised interaction allows for a thorough examination and discussion of treatment options.
4. Treatments: Post-consultation, patients can easily book surgeries or procedures, receive electronic prescriptions (e-scripts), and access blood test forms directly on their phones, streamlining the overall patient experience and facilitating continued care.

Booking the appointment and joining the video call was very easy and straightforward. Dr Sara was incredibly kind, approachable and easy to talk to. She was very helpful and took the time to listen to my concerns, making sure I got what I wanted out of the appointment. I felt heard and supported, and I’m really happy with my experience!

I was initially sceptical about telehealth but had a great experience with Virtual Dermatology, after struggling to get a face-to-face appointment in the Canberra region due to the huge waitlists. It was easy to book online and I managed to get an appointment within 2 weeks of booking. The reception staff were very responsive. One minor thing was that the video-call software was unfamiliar to me and was saying the microphone was not connected, however fortunately once I joined the call with Dr Lai there ended up being no issues with the sound. I would highly recommend Virtual Dermatology as a very effective alternative to in-person.
