Dr Laura Willmann

Dr Laura Willmann is a highly dedicated and compassionate Gastroenterologist who provides comprehensive, patient-centred, and evidence-based care. With a strong commitment to improving digestive health, she focuses on delivering tailored treatment plans that address the unique needs of each individual. Dr Willmann combines clinical expertise with a reassuring and empathetic approach, ensuring that patients feel supported and informed throughout their healthcare journey.

Dr Willmann completed her specialist training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology across major medical centres in Sydney and the Gold Coast. She undertook an additional year of advanced subspeciality training focusing on Inflammatory Bowel Disease. In 2022, she was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Dr Willmann is an active Committee Member of the Gastroenterology Society of Australia and holds professional accreditations with both the Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency.

In her clinical practice, Dr Willmann manages a broad spectrum of gastrointestinal conditions. Her primary areas of interest include bowel cancer screening, polyp surveillance, and the management of inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. She is highly skilled in performing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including gastroscopy and colonoscopy. Additionally, she provides expert care for patients experiencing iron deficiency anaemia, coeliac disease, reflux, peptic ulcer disease, and functional gastrointestinal disorders like Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
