Dr Jonathan Goh

Dr Jonathan Goh is a highly qualified Consultant Ophthalmologist who sub-specialises in the management of medical retina diseases and general ophthalmic conditions. As a dedicated Medical Retina Specialist, Dr Goh is committed to providing comprehensive eye care, ensuring that individuals receive tailored, patient-centred treatment plans for their specific visual needs. His clinical expertise spans a wide range of conditions, from common eye issues to complex retinal disorders, helping patients preserve and improve their vision.

Dr Goh completed his medical training at the University of Melbourne, where he obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and Bachelor of Medical Science. Demonstrating a strong commitment to academic excellence, he went on to earn a Postgraduate Diploma of Surgical Anatomy and a Master of Surgery by research, focusing on age-related macular degeneration, from the same institution. He completed his specialist training and subsequently undertook advanced fellowship training in medical retina and ocular inflammatory diseases. Dr Goh is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Goh is actively involved in clinical research and medical education. He has published and presented his research findings on age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and dry eye disease both nationally and internationally. Passionate about mentoring the next generation of medical professionals, he serves as an Honorary Clinical Tutor and term Supervisor for ophthalmology trainees and junior medical staff. He has also contributed to the profession by holding the position of Registrar of the Court, organising final examinations for trainees seeking specialist recognition.
