Mr Gary Leber

Mr Gary Leber is a highly regarded Consultant Ophthalmologist who provides comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages. With a reassuring and patient-centred approach, he specialises in general ophthalmology, with a particular focus on advanced cataract surgery and the comprehensive management of glaucoma. Mr Leber is dedicated to helping his patients achieve and maintain optimal vision, tailoring his treatment plans to meet the unique clinical needs of each individual.

In addition to general eye care, Mr Leber has a keen clinical interest in treating complex macular conditions, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vein occlusion. Mr Leber completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne, graduating in 1979. He went on to undertake specialist training in ophthalmology, qualifying as an Ophthalmologist in 1986. Following his initial specialisation, he completed a postgraduate fellowship year in Melbourne focusing on retinal conditions, followed by a second postgraduate fellowship year in Oxford, United Kingdom. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (FRANZCO) and a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in the United Kingdom (FRCOphth).
