Dr Everardus Boets

Dr Everardus Boets is a highly skilled and dedicated Ophthalmologist who provides comprehensive eye care to his patients. With a reassuring and patient-centred approach, he specialises in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of ocular conditions. His primary areas of clinical interest include the treatment of glaucoma, strabismus (crossed eyes), and cataracts, alongside general ophthalmic care. Dr Boets obtained his Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Leiden in the Netherlands. He subsequently completed his specialist training in ophthalmology in Utrecht and Leiden. Dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence, he holds professional memberships with several leading international and domestic bodies. Dr Boets is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (FRANZCO) and a Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmologists (FEBOphth). Additionally, he is a member of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Throughout his career, Dr Boets has demonstrated a strong commitment to clinical leadership, education, and community service. He has previously served as the Chairman of the Patient Education Committee for the Dutch College of Ophthalmology and has contributed to the academic community as an Adjunct Senior Lecturer. Beyond his clinical work, Dr Boets is deeply involved in community service, volunteering his time to support local safety and disaster response initiatives.
