Dr Danielle Buck

Dr Danielle Buck is a highly skilled and dedicated Ophthalmologist who specialises in complex cataract surgery and general eye care. Based in Melbourne, she provides comprehensive ophthalmic care, managing a wide range of conditions affecting the eyes. Dr Buck is committed to delivering patient-centred care, ensuring that individuals receive tailored treatment plans that address their unique visual needs. Her clinical expertise spans advanced surgical interventions as well as the medical management of chronic ocular conditions.

Dr Buck completed her Bachelor of Biomedical Science with First Class Honours at the University of Melbourne, before relocating to Western Australia to obtain her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours by Research. She returned to Victoria to complete her internship, residency, and basic physician training at a major metropolitan hospital, followed by specialist ophthalmic training at a leading eye and ear hospital, where she also served as Chief Registrar. Dr Buck is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists. She also holds professional memberships with the Australasian Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Buck is actively involved in medical education and research. She serves as an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at a prominent university and is a faculty member of a surgical training programme, where she helps train the next generation of Ophthalmologists. Her research interests include virtual reality surgical training and clinical quality improvement. Dr Buck regularly presents her findings at local and international conferences, ensuring her practice remains at the forefront of modern ophthalmic advancements.
