Mr Zaid Hasafa

Mr Zaid Hasafa is a Consultant Gynaecologist at New Victoria Hospital and Lead Gynaecologist in Laparoscopic Surgery at Kingston Hospital. He has several years of experience in gynaecological and laparoscopic surgery from working in numerous centres both nationally and internationally.

Mr Hasafa completed his medical degree at Al-Mustansiriya University, Iraq in 2002 and later was awarded his Membership with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He completed advanced training in four of the UK's leading endometriosis centres, during which he gained extensive expertise in laparoscopic surgery. Mr Hasafa also holds a GESEA MIGS (Minimally Invasive Gynaecological Surgeon) Diploma, recognised by the European Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy as a testament to his expertise in both laparoscopy and hysteroscopy.

Mr Hasafa's clinical practice mainly focuses on general gynaecological conditions in addition to the use of advanced laparoscopic surgery to treat said conditions, such as: endometriosis, adenomyosis, fibroids, vaginal prolapse, ovarian cysts & polycystic ovary syndrome and severe adhesions. He also has clinical interests in subfertility, recurrent miscarriage, menopause, post-menopausal bleeding, hormone replacement therapy and urinary incontinence.

Outside of Mr Hasafa's clinical practice, he has published widely in his field of expertise and has presented his work at several national and international conferences. He also holds professional memberships with both the British and European Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy.
