About Mr Yahya Khedr
Mr Yahya Khedr is a Multi-award winning Consultant Ophthalmologist at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust with subspecialist expertise in Oculoplastics, Aesthetics and Cataract surgery. He graduated from medical school in 2014. He has trained as an Ophthalmologist both in the UK and internationally.
He achieved a Master of Surgery degree in Clinical Ophthalmology from the University of Edinburgh, where he graduated at the top of his class, earning the prestigious “Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Medal” from the Royal College of Surgeons. Following this, he completed his membership with the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow in Ophthalmology and his fellowship with the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
Mr. Khedr's advanced training in Oculoplastic Surgery included specialised experience at Hull University Teaching Hospitals, a fellowship at Leeds Teaching Hospitals, and an additional fellowship in Oculoplastics from Egypt.
With a passion for both teaching and research, Mr. Khedr has numerous international publications in renowned medical journals and has authored a book chapter. Moreover, he is currently the Assistant Clinical Dean for Hull York Medical School, as well as, a Postgraduate tutor at the University of Edinburgh for Masters degree students.
