Dr William Sedley is a Consultant Neurologist who provides expert assessment and ongoing care for patients experiencing a broad range of neurological conditions. He maintains a clinical focus on headache disorders alongside complex pain conditions affecting the head, face, and neck. Dr Sedley combines rigorous clinical expertise with neuroscience research, striving to offer compassionate, patient-centred care that helps individuals understand and effectively manage their neurological health.

In his clinical practice, Dr Sedley specialises in diagnosing and managing primary and secondary headaches, chronic facial pain, and auditory perceptual conditions such as tinnitus, hyperacusis, and misophonia. He also possesses a strong clinical interest in Functional Neurological Disorder and chronic pain conditions. By utilising comprehensive diagnostic approaches, including electroencephalography, he works collaboratively with patients to formulate tailored care plans designed to improve neurological function and daily quality of life.

Dr Sedley graduated with his medical degree from the University of Nottingham Medical School in 2007. Following his primary medical training, he completed specialist clinical training in neurology and earned a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) from Newcastle University, where his research concentrated on auditory perceptual neuroscience. He serves as an Academic Clinical Lecturer in Neurology, allowing him to integrate neuroscience insights into clinical practice for the benefit of his patients.
