Mr Werner Struss

Mr Werner Struss is a consultant urological surgeon based in Winchester, known for his expertise in both common and complex urological conditions. He has a subspecialist focus in prostate cancer screening and advanced diagnostics, minimally invasive focal prostate cancer therapy, and the use of peri-rectal spacing agents. His clinical repertoire also includes the management of bladder cancer, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), penoscrotal conditions, and lower urinary tract symptoms in both men and women.

Mr Struss first qualified from the University of Hamburg Medical School and later earned his MD from the University of Berlin in 2011. He completed his specialist training in Hamburg in 2014 and was awarded a PhD from the University of Portsmouth in 2020, focusing on translational medicine in common urologic cancers. Recognised for his academic contributions, he has been appointed as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Southampton and has several high-impact peer-reviewed publications along with book chapters on uro-oncological topics.

Practicing privately in leading hospitals across Southampton and Winchester, Mr Struss also serves as a urology consultant at the Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. His international experience spans work in Germany, Canada, and the United Kingdom, and he further enriched his research background through a fellowship at the University of British Columbia. As a fellow of both the European Board of Urology and the European Committee on Sexual Medicine, Mr Struss is a respected leader in his field.
