Mr Waseem Bhat

Mr Waseem Bhat is a highly regarded Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive, Aesthetic and Hand Surgeon based in Leeds. He provides comprehensive care across a broad spectrum of plastic surgery, offering patients tailored treatments for the face, skin, breasts, body, and hands. With a patient-centric approach, Mr Bhat focuses on achieving natural, balanced results that restore both form and function. Mr Bhat completed his basic clinical training within the Yorkshire Deanery before pursuing further training in Plastic Surgery in Bristol and Oxford. He then undertook specialist training in Plastic Surgery on the North East Deanery rotation. To further refine his expertise, he completed advanced training fellowships in microsurgery and complex upper and lower limb reconstruction in Leeds, alongside a nationally appointed fellowship in Hand Surgery in Birmingham. He also travelled internationally to leading centres in Paris, Barcelona, Florence, and Helsinki to develop advanced skills in microsurgery, supermicrosurgery, and lymphoedema surgery. He holds an MSc in Reconstructive Microsurgery and the British Diploma in Hand Surgery.

In addition to his clinical practice, Mr Bhat is an active contributor to medical education and research, serving as an Honorary Senior Lecturer. He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and regularly presents his work at national and international conferences. He is a full member of several prestigious professional organisations, including the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS), the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH), and the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS).
