Recently had surgery for a kidney mass. Today I popped in to have a post-op catch up. From our first consultation, to surgery and post op the whole process was explained very clearly. Walter gave me his honest opinion both professionally and personally which put me at ease making decisions about the best course of action.
I could not score any lower than 10/10., Walter and his team are not only v professional, but also friendly and approachable, I always felt relaxed and reassured around them. I can not thank them enough for their care giving me another chance Mark.
Mr Cazzaniga provided outstanding care for my son. His communication was exceptional, he took the time to explain the procedure clearly and it was easy to understand. He gave plenty of time for questions and offered real reassurance throughout. The aftercare was equally brilliant, and he even showed photos of the operation to help us understand what had been done. Thank you to Walter and all the fantastic staff.
Walter was amazing and explained everything very clearly. Thank you so much
Mr Cazzaniga was professional and engaged throughout. He listened to my requests and explained the process clearly. Surgery was skillfully completed. There was a follow up consultation soon after to check on my recovery.
From start to finish - cannot thank how quick everyone has treated my condition. And now the following treatment to come is happening at speed. From consultant to nursing staff have experienced kindness empathy and most importantly very professional. Thank you
Mr Cazzaniga was amazing with me! The Surgery scar is a fraction of the width of my former chest scar and is barely visible in places. It is also healing extremely well. As a sufferer of a mild Autistic Spectrum Disorder, he was very good in that aspect as well. As sadly, back in early Autumn The Royal Brompton's very eager Thoracic team was trying to muscle in and take over my procedure against mine and my Oncologist wishes, but Mr Cazzaniga took the lead and sorted it all out, with my consent. I am extremely grateful for Mr Cazzaniga's help and feel he's a great protégé to Professor Nicol.
Mr Cazzaniga told me more about my adrenal and kidney lesions in 30 mins than I had learnt over the past eleven months. Armed with that information I was able to challenge my nhs doctor on the decision to proceed with a biopsy on my kidney before completing tests to determine whether I had cushings syndrome and if the adrenal lesion was malignant. Mr Cazziniga had explained very clearly why it could be fatal to go ahead with the biopsy of the kidney lesion before completing these. . He explained why he suspected I had kidney cancer. It is strange to say, but it was the best £*** I have ever spent. Although I still do not have a definitive diagnosis I now know what is required. I have requested another appointment with Mr Cazziniga to test me for adrenal gland cancer and cushings syndrome. I will be forever thankful He managed to save my life before I even received a diagnosis. With my gained knowledge I hope to move forward more quickly. My only regret is not seeing him sooner.
An excellent surgeon with outstanding technical skills. Always approachable and willing to help, he consistently provides thoughtful, sensible advice and delivers high‑quality patient management.
