About Mr Walid Sasi

Mr Walid Sasi is a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon with extensive experience in the surgical management of benign and malignant breast conditions. He has performed over 6,000 procedures, specialising in oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery, and carries out more than 300 breast operations annually. He practices at Spire Leicester Hospital and has been a UK-based Consultant since 2015.

Mr Sasi has particular expertise in breast-conserving surgery using oncoplastic techniques, including mammoplasty and chest wall perforator flaps (LICAP, LTAP, AICAP). He also performs nipple- and skin-sparing mastectomies with implant-based or autologous flap reconstructions, and is experienced in hybrid reconstruction combining implants with lipofilling. His interests also include cosmetic breast surgery, such as augmentation, reduction, mastopexy, and male breast reduction, as well as corrective and revision procedures.

He leads the Breast Cancer Multidisciplinary Team for Leicestershire and surrounding regions and is involved in national and international surgical groups, including the CBS, UKBCG, OBC, and EUBREAST.

In medical education, Mr Sasi is the Training Programme Director for Core Surgical Training in East Midlands (South) and undergraduate lead for breast surgery at the University of Leicester. He is a GMC-recognised trainer and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2018.
