Mr Virgil Bru

Virgil Bru is a Physiotherapist and Osteopath at Calmer Clinics, specialising in sports and post-surgery rehabilitation. He earned his BSc and MSc in Physiotherapy in 2010 and 2011, respectively.

Virgil's career began in Spain and the southwest of France, where he developed a keen interest in sports physiotherapy, paediatric care, and women's health. He trained under Marcel Caufriez in no-pressure gymnastics for post-pregnancy and enhanced his chest physiotherapy skills with Guy Postiaux at Respiralia, a centre for children with cystic fibrosis. At the Polideportivo Príncipe De España, he treated elite athletes from the Balearic Islands, helping them qualify for national teams, international competitions, and the Olympic Games. Additionally, he gained valuable experience in a post-surgery and trauma rehabilitation clinic in Bordeaux.

In 2012, Virgil moved to London to embrace a new culture and therapeutic approach while completing an MSc in Osteopathy at the British School of Osteopathy in 2014. He expanded his expertise in paediatric care through training in Cranial Osteopathy and other treatments at the BSO children's clinic. In women's health, he pursued courses in Visceral Osteopathy and Obstetrical Osteopathy. His passion for sports physiotherapy led him to complete an inter-university degree (DIU) at the INSEP (French national institute of sport) and to work with a South London rugby team.

Alongside his clinical practice, Virgil is committed to research, particularly on sitting posture, and teaches physiotherapy students in Belgium.
