Dr Vincent McAulay

Dr Vincent McAulay is an established Consultant Physician who specialises in Endocrinology & Diabetes alongside General Internal Medicine. As a dedicated Diabetologist and Endocrinologist, he provides compassionate, comprehensive, and evidence-based care for patients managing complex endocrine and metabolic conditions. Dr McAulay is committed to delivering personalised care plans that empower patients to manage their health effectively while preventing long-term complications.

His clinical practice encompasses the full spectrum of diabetes and endocrine care. Dr McAulay has extensive expertise in the management of Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, acute and recurrent hypoglycaemia, and advanced diabetes technology, including continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion and continuous glucose monitoring systems. In endocrinology, his work covers disorders of the thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, and parathyroid glands, as well as complex conditions such as adipsic diabetes insipidus and hypercalcaemia. He also actively participates in multidisciplinary services, including antenatal diabetes care, diabetic foot clinics, and transition care for young adults.

Dr McAulay qualified with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) and subsequently undertook specialist postgraduate training in general internal medicine, diabetes, and endocrinology. He achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and previously worked as a Clinical Research Fellow, leading clinical research focused on the physiological effects of hypoglycaemia. In addition to his clinical work, Dr McAulay has contributed to national clinical guideline groups and remains an active member of professional bodies, including the Society for Endocrinology.
