Dr Trevor Gaunt

Dr. Trevor Gaunt is a Consultant Paediatric Radiologist based in London, with specialist expertise in paediatric imaging, fetal imaging, ultrasound, and oncological imaging. He currently works at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where his practice includes general paediatric radiology, complex diagnostic imaging, and paediatric oncology imaging within the proton beam therapy service.

He has completed advanced paediatric radiology fellowships at Evelina London Children’s Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, giving him broad experience across the full range of imaging modalities used in children. His clinical work includes the interpretation of thousands of paediatric imaging examinations each year, with particular expertise in complex and specialist cases.

Dr. Gaunt also has a strong interest in fetal and prenatal imaging. He works closely with fetal medicine and fetal surgery teams to support the assessment of complex pregnancies through advanced imaging, including fetal MRI.

Alongside his NHS role, he practises privately as a Consultant Paediatric Radiologist with The Portland Hospital for Women and Children and Harley Street Ultrasound Group, providing specialist imaging for children and families in London.

Dr. Gaunt also holds an academic appointment as Honorary Associate Professor in the UCL Maternal & Fetal Medicine Department. His academic work includes research in paediatric oncology imaging, prenatal imaging, and related areas, and he serves as Paediatric Radiology Associate Editor for the British Journal of Radiology.

Beyond clinical medicine, Dr. Gaunt is an NHS Clinical Entrepreneur and is developing a mobile-first medical careers and interview education platform for doctors. His work focuses on practical career progression, interview strategy, assessment insight, and helping doctors prepare more effectively for important career transitions.
