He has explained everything before, during and after surgery in terms that I can understand and has been happy to go over anything as often as I needed and answer any questions. The possible HoLEP procedure was patiently and clearly outlined, both verbally and diagrammatically - really so helpful and encouraging.

The Uriolgy department has been great from start to Finnish The out patients part has been amazing with Jane and her team I had to come in on occasions if the catheta came out or was due a change the team fitted me in within minutes And gave me a technique to have less discomfort when putting the catheta in I was a noisy patient to begin with they knew me! But they were all so patient and kind The operation was a concern but Tommy Johnston was very direct and with also the support of the anaethsist I was re assured that I’d be ok I had infections during the recovery but a great team of doctors and reception staff at the James fisher practice to whom I’m truly grateful to including Dr Dick and Doctor Mercedes who were kind caring and supportive always called me with in twenty minutes of my call to them amazing support which meant I made a great recovery On the day of the op everything was amazing I was in a new ward only opened a week I had an amazing female nurse who was From the ethnic group and I can’t remember her name she saved me from having another operation her attention was fantastic and worked so. Hard to help me I had my bed changed three times it was so clean she checked my blood pressure continually temperature and drip emptied containers from my bag I had my flow test this week where again amazing support and care the first consultant I saw was equally good who diagnosed my condition initially and finally my final meeting with Tommy Johnstone who’d performed the operation and discharged me I have to say Tommy it was easy talking to you and I wasnt shy ...

From the first meeting Tommy Johnston’s explanations were very clear. Post op could not have been better. No pain and very quick recovery.
