Dr Timothy William Poate

Dr Timothy William Poate is a Consultant in Oral Medicine. Dr Poate completed their dental training at Guy's in 1990 and medical training at St Bartholomew's in 1996. Following this, they undertook specialist training in Oral Medicine at Guy's. Dr Poate is a specialist in the management of facial pain, temporomandibular joint disorder, and Burning Mouth Syndrome.

Dr Poate has a wealth of experience in all aspects of Oral Medicine. They are highly skilled in treating a wide range of conditions, including ulceration, lichen planus, oral mucosal lesions, and disorders of the tongue. Their expertise extends to pre-malignant conditions, white patches, red patches, dry mouth, taste disorders, orofacial granulomatosis, and oral manifestations of systemic disease and drugs.

Dr Poate is also adept at performing a variety of procedures, including oral surgery and treatment for sore or burning mouth and tongue. They are skilled in addressing temporomandibular jaw joint pain and clicking, facial pain, ulcers, lumps and bumps in the mouth, disorders of the tongue, and orofacial granulomatosis.
