Dr Tilak Das

Dr Tilak Das is a Consultant Diagnostic Neuroradiologist at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, specialising in brain, spine, and head and neck imaging. He has advanced expertise in MRI, CT, neck ultrasound, and image-guided biopsy procedures.

He completed specialist neuroradiology fellowships at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the University of Toronto, developing extensive experience in complex neuroimaging. He has worked as a Consultant Neuroradiologist at Cambridge University Hospitals since 2013 and has held several leadership roles, including Clinical Lead for AI in Imaging and Directorate Audit Lead.

Dr Das has a strong interest in clinical informatics and artificial intelligence in radiology. He is involved in research using machine learning approaches in traumatic brain injury and quantitative imaging in thyroid eye disease, areas that have developed from his clinical interests. He is also currently involved in digital and AI initiatives through the Eastern Diagnostic Imaging Network.

He holds a PhD in Developmental Neuroscience and has contributed extensively to radiology education and research. He is involved with the British Society of Neuroradiologists, contributing to teaching and education activities, and previously served as Joint Du Boulay Visiting Professor of Neuroradiology through the Royal College of Radiologists and BSNR.

Alongside his clinical work, Dr Das teaches head and neck anatomy to medical students, supports trainee education, and has held departmental leadership positions including clinical audit, information governance, and quality accreditation roles. His practice combines specialist neuroradiology, research, education, and innovation in imaging technology.
