A very good experience. The doctor's advice was realistic, practical, comprehensive and focused. His manner was excellent. He explained the technical aspects in layman's terms very well. He also gave freely of his time and was very helpful.
I was pleased to have a FaceTime consultation with Dr von Stempel. He was happy to answer my many questions in a warm and friendly manner. He was most reassuring throughout and I was reassured that I had made the right decision and would be in good hands.
Firstly Dr Conrad was clear in his explanation of exactly what a PAE procedure was about both in having it done how possible after effects could be slightly disturbing and how long after the procedure could I hope to notice the effects . I went ahead and duly had a MRI scan and another scan and an Ultrasound When the results were received by my Specialist he noticed something in the bladder and arrange for me to see a Urologist to check the bladder The findings were a thickening of the urethra which was dealt with.satisfactorily. I then had another consultation with Dr Conrad and agreed to go ahead. The whole procedure was done quickly on a most professional manner with every member of his team keeping me informed of how things were proceeding because of my age Dr Conrad arranged gift me th spend the night in the hospital And the only problem was being told off by the nurse for not calling her to use the bathroom. I duly saw my Specialist for a chat before leaving and was given his telephone number and told to contact him on a daily basis This I did and have since had folllow up scans etc to check the results These all seem to be good and I am much better for having the procedure. I still have a box of pain killers UNOPENED I have since arranged another phone meeting to discuss which tablets I can stop I cannot speak highly enough of Dr Conrad Von Stemple and have had no hesitation in recommending him to friends who are experiencing prostate problems. This must be the answer to invasive surgery .
Dr von Stempel could not have been more supportive professionally and personally showed me much kindness for which I repeat ,y gratitude
Dr von Stempel arranged a telephone consultation and contacted me at the appointed time, which I appreciated. He took the time to explain the procedure and answer all my questions. I felt reassured after our discussion, at no time did I feel rushed.
It was a telephone consultation following a referral by Mr Morley from Parkside. Dr von STempel had obviously familiarized himself with the history of the case and was well prepared and happy to discuss the procedure and any possible side effects with me.
Excellent care from beginning to end and he has a great team working with him
I was referred to Dr Von Stempel who diagnosed the need for a PAE which he conducted at the Princess Grace with skill, gentleness and full explanation, he ensured the best assistance from those at the Princess Grace especially two specialist nurses called Lina and Jose Carlos. He was friendly in approach and truly showed interest in my case, In have rarely felt such confidence and ease with a consultant. He was patient with my catheter concern and eventually ensured I could dispense with it after about six to eight weeks..and thankfully I am now back to normal in the use and flow of my bladder.
I was a complicated case and Dr Von Stemple went above and beyond to explain everything and to make me feel constantly reassured and calm through out. He is very professional and genuinely cares.
Dr Von Stempel is a talented and caring interventional uro-radiologist
