Dr Thomas Miller

Dr Thomas Miller is a dedicated Consultant Neurologist who provides comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management for a broad spectrum of neurological conditions. He maintains a specialist focus on cognitive neurology, memory disorders, and complex neuro-immunological conditions. Dr Miller works closely with patients facing challenging neurological symptoms, combining clinical expertise with an empathetic and patient-centred approach to deliver accurate diagnoses and tailored management plans.

In his daily clinical practice, Dr Miller places a strong emphasis on conditions affecting memory and cognitive function, alongside autoimmune disorders of the central nervous system, such as autoimmune encephalitis and limbic encephalitis. He routinely evaluates patients experiencing episodic memory loss, hippocampal dysfunction, and complex neurodegenerative symptoms. By utilising advanced neuroimaging modalities, including functional magnetic resonance imaging, alongside structured clinical evaluations, Dr Miller aims to provide thorough, cutting-edge diagnostic care and therapeutic management.

Dr Miller completed his primary medical training and an intercalated honours degree in Neuroscience at the University of Edinburgh. He subsequently undertook his postgraduate doctoral research (DPhil) at the University of Oxford, investigating the cognitive and neuroradiological sequelae of autoimmune encephalitis. His specialist clinical training in neurology was completed across leading teaching hospitals in London. Dr Miller is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and continues to actively engage in neurological research to enhance diagnostic techniques and therapeutic care for his patients.
