Dr Thomas Day

Dr Thomas Day is an accomplished Consultant Cardiologist specialising in Paediatric Cardiology and Foetal Cardiology. He is dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate care for young patients and expectant parents, focusing on the early detection and management of heart conditions. Working alongside multidisciplinary clinical teams, Dr Day ensures that every family receives tailored guidance and expert care throughout their diagnostic and treatment journey.

Dr Day possesses specialist expertise in foetal echocardiography and the diagnosis of congenital heart disease in both unborn babies and children. His clinical focus is closely integrated with research into cutting-edge imaging technologies, particularly the application of artificial intelligence to ultrasound screening. By refining diagnostic tools to detect cardiac malformations earlier and more accurately, Dr Day strives to improve long-term outcomes and health prospects for infants and children.

Dr Day graduated with an honours degree in Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB) alongside an intercalated Master of Research (MRes) from the University of Manchester in 2008. Following his primary medical qualification, he completed specialist clinical training in paediatrics and undertook higher specialist training in Paediatric Cardiology and Foetal Cardiology across centres in London, Oxford, and Melbourne. He achieved Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in 2012 and earned a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from King's College London in 2024.
