Dr Taufiq Shaikh

Dr Taufiq Shaikh is an accomplished Consultant Urological Surgeon who provides comprehensive care for a wide spectrum of adult urological conditions. With expertise encompassing general urology, endourology, and urological oncology, he is dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centred clinical care. Dr Shaikh diagnoses and manages diseases affecting the kidneys, urinary bladder, prostate gland, and male reproductive organs, employing advanced diagnostic evaluations alongside modern, minimally invasive surgical techniques.

His primary clinical focus includes kidney stone disease, prostate enlargement, bladder disorders, erectile dysfunction, and male reproductive health. Dr Shaikh has extensive expertise in endourological procedures, particularly minimally invasive laser treatments for complex kidney stones and state-of-the-art therapies for benign prostate enlargement. Throughout his career, he has held key leadership positions as a Clinical Lead, directing specialised kidney stone and urology services while actively shaping regional urological cancer care pathways.

Dr Shaikh earned his Bachelor of Science with Honours alongside his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB) from the University of Manchester in 2000. He completed his basic surgical training across several leading London teaching institutions before undertaking higher surgical training in Urology within the London deanery. He subsequently completed advanced fellowship training in endourology and stone disease at a specialist London centre. A Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Dr Shaikh maintains active professional membership with the British Association of Urological Surgeons.
