Dr. Tarun Nagpal

Dr Tarun Nagpal is an award winning GDC registered specialist Oral Surgeon currently splitting his time between working in hospital, private practice and being an educator. He currently works across London, Surrey, Kent & Oxford providing Oral surgery and sedation services for anxious patients.

Dr Nagpal prides himself on providing patient centred care with an empathetic approach. He believes open and honest communication is the key to dental care and that this allows patients to be at ease in the dental chair. He is a keen advocate for reducing anxiety as a barrier to patients receiving dental care in general practice.

Dr Nagpal gained his Bachelors in Dental Surgery from Kings College London. He then worked as a general dentist in Surrey prior to pursing training in oral surgery. He has worked within the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery since 2017 and now holds his specialist oral surgeon title. 

Dr Nagpal regards postgraduate education as a fundamental pillar in the ongoing professional development of every dentist. He has personally undertaken advanced training and has had the opportunity to present internationally in Germany, Canada, Belgium, and the UAE. He holds a post graduate diploma in primary dental care, a post graduate certificate in dental education, is an IACSD accredited sedationist and reading towards an MSc in Dental implantology.

Due to Dr Nagpal’s background in surgery, he is very well versed with facial anatomy and often performs facial aesthetics procedures including full facial rejuvenation with the use of dermal fillers and botulinum toxin. Of course this is not for everyone and he is also able to signpost patient’s to the most appropriate skin care products they may require.

Dr Nagpal is a member of several dental societies that allow him to be at the forefront of developments within the dental space. These including the Association of Dental Implantology, the British Association of Oral Surgeons, SAAD (a dental sedation charity), the British Dental Association and ISDAM (International Society for Dental Anxiety Management).

Dr Nagpal has won several awards including most recently Highly Commended Young Dentist for South East England from FMC/Dentistry.co.uk

In his personal time Dr Nagpal is the healthcare clinical lead for the charity Nishkam SWAT. Their main purpose is to provide selfless service for those less fortunate across the world. He has featured in the media discussing homelessness and the exclusion they currently experience.
